What are Brake Master Systems?
A brake master system for a vehicle brake system is the assembling precision of a guide and a cup seal, the structure of a communication conduit, and the structure of a cylinder cap and the guide are improved. This improves the performance of the brake master system while also reducing the cost and improving the sealing structure between a body and the cylinder cap, thus to reduce the size of the cylinder cap in the system. A brake master system includes a cylinder cap positioned in an internal bore opening portion of the body, a first piston inserted into a cylinder housing through the cylinder cap and is supported by the guide in the axial direction, a second piston positioned coaxially with the first piston at the front of the first piston and is in the axial direction in the cylinder housing, and a cup seal at the front of the guide for liquid-tightly sealing a first pressure chamber formed between the first piston and the second piston. The guide and the cup seal coaxially engage the inner bore of the cylinder cap.
Brake Master System Cylinder-sensor system and method
The brake master system includes a master cylinder, a piston slidably positioned in the master cylinder, a magnet positioned on the piston, and a sensor disposed on the master cylinder. A change of piston linear position causes a linear change in a magnetic field position sensed by the sensor, and a brake control signal proportional to the change of piston linear position is generated. A method of operating a brake master cylinder-sensor system includes applying a brake pedal force, changing a piston linear position within a master cylinder, determining a change in a linear magnetic field position proportional to the change of the piston linear position, and generating a brake control signal based on the change in the linear magnetic field position.
Brake master sytem cylinders with return connection
A brake master system for a hydraulic vehicle brake system has a master cylinder housing and at least one pressure chamber designed therein. It is connected to the pressure chamber which is a hydraulic fluid reservoir, furthermore, is provided for connection to a precharge pump of a brake pressure regulating system. Moreover, the brake master cylinder has a hydraulic fluid return connection which makes a fluid connection between the delivery side of the precharge pump, the reservoir and the at least one pressure chamber. A throttle is arranged in this liquid connection, the throttle does not impede a hydraulic fluid stream out of the reservoir into the pressure chamber and throttling of a hydraulic fluid stream from the return connection into the reservoir. The throttle makes it possible to cause the precharge pump to act on at least one pressure chamber, without an electromagnetic valve being interposed.
