What is an Air bag?

An airbag, also known as a Supplementary Restraint System (SRS), an Air Cushion Restraint System (ACRS), or the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) is a flexible cushion or envelope. Most cars are fitted with these units for safety purposes as during the impact of a crash they immediately inflate preventing hard impact between the driver and interior of the car.
